Ralph Fiennes’s FOUR QUARTETS by TS Eliot to move to the West End in November

Ralph fiennesthe world premiere theatrical adaptation of TS Eliot‘s Four Quartets will move to London’s Harold Pinter Theater for 36 performances only from November 18 to December 18, 2021.

This critically acclaimed production has reopened Theater Royal Bath in May 2021, and kicked off the Made in Northampton season of Royal & Derngate and helped reopen theaters across the country by touring the Oxford Playhouse June 14-26 Cambridge Arts Theater June 28 – July 10, Southampton MAST July 12 – 17, Malvern Theater July 19 – 24 and York Theater Royal July 26 – 31, 2021

nobel laureate TS Eliot is one of the giants of modern literature. Captivating, moving and symphonic, Four Quartets was the culmination of his career as a poet, offering four interwoven meditations on the nature of time, faith and the quest for spiritual enlightenment. Primarily written during World War II, when the closing of theaters during the Blitz interrupted Eliot’s theatrical work, the Four Quartets (Burnt Norton, East Coker, The Dry Salvages and Little Gidding), contain some of the most exquisite reflections and unforgettable in times of crisis.

Ralph fiennesThe distinguished stage work of is accompanied by interpretations in some of the greatest films of our time. Winner of a Tony Award for playing Hamlet, he has worked extensively in theater, where his recent credits include Antony and Cleopatra, Richard III and The Master Builder. His many film roles include a BAFTA-winning performance in Schindler’s List; The English patient; The Grand Hotel Budapest; The Constant Gardner; Fall from the sky; In Bruges; The Dig and Harry Potter series.

Four Quartets is conducted by Ralph fiennes who will be joined by a remarkable creative team including Hildegarde Bechtler (Designer) who won an Olivier Award for After the Dance at The National Theater and received nominations for Top Hat and Oresteia; Tim lutkin (Lighting), winner of an Olivier Award for Chimerica and Christophe shutt (Sound), Tony Award winner for War Horse. The deputy director is Eva sampson and the director of the movement is Aileron Walker.

Four Quartets is presented by Theater Royal Bath Productions and Royal & Derngate, Northampton as part of the venue’s 2021 Made in Northampton season.
