Rhys and Nancy danced a jive for Musical Week after receiving a perfect mark for their Charleston the week before.
After finishing their dance, Tess said, “There was a mistake, but they loved it there.”
Some viewers were bowled over by the comment and took to social media to say so.
@SusieTeo wrote: “Tess is not a judge. Why is she pointing out the mistake as the first thing? She didn’t do it with the others.”
Likewise, @BarbaraJGubbins said: “I’m not sure it’s @TessDaly to report errors – that should be left to the experts! Sorry #Tess #Strictly.”
@ jaymarfo12 added: “Ah, I had no idea Tess was replacing Craig tonight? Please can you let the judges point out the errors? Thank you #Strictly.”
@BashfordAndy tweeted: “#StrictlyComeDancing why does Tess have to mention a mistake twice, she’s not a judge.”
Rhys and Nancy ended up getting a 32 of 40 for their jive.
